Clinical Background
Dr. Salman Saad completed his Family Medicine residency in 2010 at Mayo-affiliated Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa — a rigorous, high-volume program that trained him to care for patients across every age group and clinical setting. Following residency, he joined a community clinic in Iowa where he began building the kind of long-term patient relationships that define exceptional family medicine.
He later moved to Connecticut, where he worked as a lead doctor in a busy clinic. In this role, he cared for many patients with long-term health problems, sudden illnesses, and those who just needed regular check-ups to stay healthy. His next move took him to California, where he expanded his scope further — serving as a senior physician in a large multi-specialty outpatient practice, working as a regular attending in urgent care, and contributing to the IT development of the practice’s clinical systems. This technology background gives Dr. Saad an unusually clear-eyed perspective on how to build a modern, patient-focused practice.
In 2024, Dr. Saad relocated to New Jersey with his wife Dr. Moizah Saad and their two children to be closer to extended family — a decision that directly reflects the values he brings to his practice. Family is the reason Jersey Family Health exists.
Together, Dr. Salman Saad and Dr. Moizah Saad bring over 30 years of combined clinical experience to the patients of Princeton, NJ and surrounding Mercer County communities.
Clinical Focus Areas
Dr. Salman Saad provides primary care for patients of all ages, from children 5+ years to seniors. His key areas of focus include:
He treats long-term conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, COPD, and metabolic syndrome. He carefully monitors patients and adjusts treatment plans over time.
Dr. Saad performs several in-office procedures, including joint injections, minor skin procedures, and wound care. This allows patients to receive treatment without visiting another specialist.
He treats common illnesses and sudden health problems such as infections, injuries, stomach issues, and skin conditions.
As a family doctor, he cares for children and adults. This includes well-child visits, vaccines, sports physicals, and school physical exams.
He provides preventive care for men, including annual physicals, heart and metabolic screenings, prostate health checks, testosterone evaluation, and mental health screening.
Dr. Saad focuses strongly on prevention. He creates personalized health plans that include screenings, lab tests, vaccines, and lifestyle guidance to help patients stay healthy long term.
Dr. Salman Saad's Philosophy of Care
Dr. Saad chose family medicine because he wanted to care for whole people — not just a body part, or quick appointments. He loves that his job lets him do so many things, the ability to be a child’s first doctor, a family’s trusted advisor, and a senior patient’s advocate all in the same career.
He built Jersey Family Health with his wife Dr. Moizah Saad because they both saw the same thing happening in medicine — the relationship between doctor and patient being eroded by production pressure, short visits, and a system that rewards volume over value. Jersey Family Health is their answer to that problem: a practice where patients are treated like family, every visit has enough time to matter, and the physician knows your name before you walk in the door.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Saad enjoys playing pickleball, exploring antique shops across NJ and PA, and embracing lifelong learning. He is committed to building lasting relationships with his patients and delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.
